So I figured enough time has passed and the issue I have would have been resolved. Apparently not. So this leads me to believe that it really still isn’t resolved or there is something on my config that is conflicting with the builds after 1.18.5.2260. I would like to finally resolve this. I don’t really feel comfortable uploading my logs. Would it be possible to send this directly to a Plex Team Member? Thanks in advance!!

Transcoding with the iGPU (QSV ASIC) works perfectly and automatically.

May I please ask the following?

  1. Verify DEBUG logging is enabled, VERBOSE logging is disabled.
  2. Restart PMS
  3. Wait 2 minutes to stabilize
  4. Play an item which transcodes (recreates the problem)
  5. let play for 30 seconds
  6. Stop playback
  7. Wait 20 seconds
  8. Download Logs ZIP
  9. Attach that ZIP here.

Also, is this in a VM or Container of any kind?

I had a similar issue, but may not be related to the type of system you have. I am using a laptop that had an intel GPU and a AMD GPU. When I upgraded to Ubuntu 20.04 the system decided to use the AMD GPU which Plex is not able to use. I was able to force the operating system to only use the Intel GPU. This fixed the issue. I used https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HybridGraphics. to fix my issue with the “i915” for Intel GPU and rebooted.
