For the Plex Media Server (PMS) seems it would easy to simply add a Mouse Over for the Library items while in Poster View.
Click on a Library to show the Library Items in the right window
If the Titles on any Item are too long to read at the bottom of the Item (which is usually the case), then you can’t get the full title without going to Detail or List view for the Library.
A simple Mouse Over would fix that …
I guess folks would want to have the ability to select what gets the Mouse Over, Title, Original Title, Sort Title, etc. But, just the Title would seem sufficient
You could even do something like this. put it in the summary bar at top, but that would more work to implement
