PMS on Synology 918 or Mac Mini 2012

Should I install Plex Media Server on my Synology NAS 918+ or on my Mac Mini late 2012?

The Mac Mini has a Core i5 3210m CPU, 8gb ram and Intel HD Graphics 4000 and a SSD. The Mac Mini is not running anything else and will only run PMS. The Synology is upgraded to 8gb ram with 2x8tb Seagate Exos in SHR and is running a couple of docker containers and acting as a fileserver.

I will mostly stream 1080p/720p content to maxium 3 iOS decives at the same time. Any opinions? I am thinking of using Mac Mini to offload the NAS.

If you have a Plex Pass for HW Transcoding the 918 is pretty capable of it. No need to run the Mac mini, especially if you also use the new experimental player on iOS which should direct play most files. ( still has some bugs tho )
