Same Issue here. With Ds918+
I had this happen yesterday. Had to go back into synology package center and “run” plex. Fortunately it restarted.
I’m getting a chance now to look at your logs.
Is the phone going to sleep? It shows in the paused state for a long time.

It does sleep when not using it like any other iPhone, nothing out of the ordinary I would think.
Looks like I’m having similar issues (Syno 916+). Will try to grab logs asap.Plex Media Server Logs_2020-02-08_20-10-59.zip (13.1 MB)
added logs. had to do a restart to grab them.
If the phone goes to sleep when it’s syncing, bad things happen.
iOS doesn’t allow enough CPU time for the sync to complete.
it times out and flags the job failed.
Thanks for the logs.
I’m not seeing any overt errors in them.
What I paid extra attention to were the shorter -than-normal log files.
In all but one case, PMS had been commanded to shutdown. (signal 15)
The one case where it was not, it looked like DSM forced the shutdown which resulted in a ‘crash’.
Thanks; does this mean that if PMS is open/running on another device while the iPhone sleeps and PMS is syncing things should be okay? I noticed PMS not shutting off this weekend but I had PMS running on my laptop.
PMS runs on the server. The server runs constantly unless programmed to shutdown / startup by the system hosting it.
Each device is independent.
Ah, understood. So then it was stopping on the NAS/server then because I could not access it from my laptop or iPhone. Anyway, it’s been working okay for the past day or so. Thanks for your help.
Hey - so is there a solution for the iPhone app shutting down? Even if i restart the app it does not connect upon waking up.
Candidly? I don’t know . (I know I’m going to get chastized for saying it.) I’m not an app guy so I will have ask.
