PMS on win11 vs debian headless for HW tonemapping performance experience

I know this question/topic comes up all the time and i’m certain people are fed up with it being asked…

it’s now Feb 2025 and hw tonemapping for windows is almost a year old, and I was wondering what people’s experience is between win11 and linux.

reliability? performance? I assume there’s no difference in picture quality… this is obviously directed at intel cpus to level the playing field.

I’ve read that pms on linux is “snappier”.

I’ve also read that people prefer linux because of fewer reboots… but to again, level the playing field, I use win11 enterprise ltsc IoT so there aren’t any ‘feature’ updates, only quality (bug fixes and the like). which, yeah more frequent than linux but not nearly as bad as a generic win11 install with all the bloat.
