PMS + Rclone + Dropbox not working properly

I’m using plex on a linux debian 10 system headlessly.
I’m using rclone to mount dropbox enterprise storage to my server.
I created a dropbox app with OAuth2 and registered it with the rclone mount.
I’m able to list contents of the dropbox storage space.

Unfortunately PLEX cannot actually play the content from dropbox.

What I already tried:

  • Completely reinstalled PMS (also deleting the old server files)
  • Remounted rclone mount trying many different mounting options:
