Unable to add rclone dir in Plex Media Server on Ubuntu 23.10

Server Version#:1.32.7.7621-871adbd44 on Ubuntu 23.10 (6.5.0-1008-azure)
Player Version#: Web

I am unable to add folder /storage/plexmedia/gdrive to my Plex Media Server. Directory is “greyed out”. What can I do to resolve this?

Drive is mounted using “rclone mount gdrive: /storage/plexmedia/gdrive”

➜ ~ rclone --version
rclone v1.60.1-DEV
- os/version: ubuntu 23.10 (64 bit)
- os/kernel: 6.5.0-1008-azure (x86_64)
- os/type: linux
- os/arch: amd64
- go/version: go1.21.0
- go/linking: dynamic
- go/tags: none

Local directory info:

➜ ~ ls -lhd /storage/plexmedia/gdrive
drwxrwxr-x 1 jakobbg jakobbg 0 Nov 9 14:07 /storage/plexmedia/gdrive
➜ ~ mount | grep gdrive
gdrive: on /storage/plexmedia/gdrive type fuse.rclone (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=1000,group_id=1000)
➜ ~ id jakobbg
uid=1000(jakobbg) gid=1000(jakobbg) groups=1000(jakobbg),4(adm),20(dialout),24(cdrom),25(floppy),27(sudo),29(audio),30(dip),44(video),46(plugdev),119(netdev),120(lxd)

Not sure as am still on 22.04, but if I look at my mount, it is:

(rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=1000,group_id=1001,allow_other)

you do not seem to have the allow other part.

Did you uncomment the line in the fuse config (/etc/fuse.conf )

user_allow_other

Awesome - well spotted. How come I didn’t think about that! :-D.

Thanks, now my Plex will be able to playback music via a 1TB GDrive share instead of an Azure local storage account. Sweeeeeeet.
