Hi All,

I have a lot of errors inside Plex Media Server.log and I experience a lot of problems.
I used to run the stable build releases but since I had so many issues, I’m running beta releases now since I thought it would fix a lot of issues I was having in the stable releases. I am currently running Version 1.10.1.4561 of PMS on Nvidia Shield TV GEN1.

It’s the non PRO version so only small internal storage. I have added a super fast NVIDIA certified sandisk USB stick for extra storage for the transcodes.

I was wondering if there is a PMS log parser or analyser that I could start using to investigate the issues I am having.
I could not find any syslogging options either inside the PMS settings.

When I google my errors, I basically get no useful returns.

Errors such as:

I am unsure how to start troubleshooting these and there are many more.

Would anyone help me in the right direction ?

No, we do not have a tool to help diagnose the logs. It’s just something we do by eye. What problems are you having? Those errors may not be related.

Is there a way for me to send you a copy of my LOGS to you for analyses ?

It contains IP address information so I would prefer not to attach it here.

Yes, you can PM me your log, but without you describing your issue, I wouldn’t know what to look for.

Hi all,

Still having major issues. Honestly I’m losing all hope in getting over the main issue that both tv shows and movies just HANG alot of times. I work 12 hours a day and don’t have much relax time, but when I do I don’t need plex to cause me any issues.

It just needs to work.

Can someone please assist me:
At the exact moment the video freezes I see the following in the PMS log.

@moviefan.plex pointed out end of last year that it would possible be a subtitle issue. And looking at all the FONT errors that might be the case, but I am hearing impaired so subtitles are a requirement for me, it’s not an option :frowning:

Send me a copy of the subtitle file so I can investigate what the problem might be. My guess is the subtitle file is not encoded to utf-8 properly so Plex is running into unknown characters.

I checked with notepad++ and it says my SRT file is UTF-8 encoded.

So I started to have a look at the client side. I am using a Nvidia Shield GEN 1 as server and a GEN 2 as client.
