I've just started using plexconnect with my apple tv, and it work like a charm, BUT... Theres always a but.
PMS runs on my desktop computer, and when PMS and plexconnect is loaded, i go into trailers on my apple tv.
Everytime i have to go to settings and manually find my PMS, set the transcode option, and the subtitle size to whatever i prefer..
Everytime i want to use my apple tv with plex i need to do this, and it is a bit annoying, as i need to change to the PMS on my desktop, transcoding and subs size.
Is there a way for apple tv to remember these settings?
The Plexconnect settings are not saved until you successfully execute a clean shutdown of Plexconnect. The easiest way to do this is to run Plexconnect using sudo in terminal and then go to your ATV and adjust the Plexconnect settings as you like. Then quit Plexconnect using CTRL-C in terminal. That should create an ATVSettings.cfg file in the Plexconnect folder and your settings should stick.
Just run plexconnect.py. Change your settings using the Apple TV. When you're done your adjustments, go to your windows machine where console is open and hit CTRL+C.
