PMS spuriously creating 1-movie Collection for every movie

Sometime over the last week or so, my Windows-10 Plex Media Server decided to create a single-movie collection for each and every movie in my library. Now when I look at “Collections”, all of my previous collections are still there, along with hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of others each containing just one movie. It’s a real pain to go through and delete each of these spurious collections. Any thoughts on how this might have happened, how I might prevent it happening again, and how to clean it up? Thanks!
