Movie collections always showing

I just went on my Plex (local and via app.plex.tv) and was browsing my movie categories. I noticed that every single one has some automatically created collections; most with only one movie in them. At the top, I have ‘Movies’ selected, but it is showing both movies and collections.

It honestly looks terrible when about 1/4 of my library appears duplicated because there is a single movie collection right next to that movie. I would think that changing the display option from ‘collections’ to ‘movies’ would remove them (since I selected that I only want to see movies), but it doesn’t.

Can this be fixed (without having to dig through and delete them all)? Or can I turn off auto-creation of collections until the display options get fixed?

Edit the library, choose Advanced. Collections = disabled.

Regarding displaying both collections & movies: Choose “Hide Items which are in collections.” The collection will display, not the individual movie.

Regarding collections with just one movie: I don’t know of a way to prevent this. Only way I know to clean it up is to manually delete such collections. In the Collections view you can select multiple collections then choose delete, you don’t have to delete them one at a time. Definitely a PITA, but only way I know to clean up things.
