PMS wont analyze everything

I’ve recently moved my LIbrary, and I need Plex to run an analyze on all tv showes. I enter the TV section, and cliick Analyze. Plex then analyzes about 100 episodes of various shows, before stopping. I can not get it to complete the task. In the Plex Media Scanner Analysis log I can just see it ‘not continuing’ - no error. Anybody?

Why is there no option to Analyze a single tv show or tv show season - or even episode, like there is for movies?

I thought you could tell it to analyse a single TV show from the “…” menu on the right in the web gui on the server after drilling down to it … I’ve had to use it quite often to pick up subtitles for episodes which didn’t have them when they were originally added.

Easy way to do any of that… even selectively.

Go into the library you want to work on.
enable multi-select.
click away and / or shift-click down to where you want to stop.
now go tell it to analyze.

While I was wrong in that certainly is possible to analyze a single episode, I can’t see any ‘Analyze’ link when I’ve selected multiple tv series, or even season of specific series. I have ‘Optimize’ and ‘Refresh’ and I erally was looking not to refresh, as that would download all the meta data once again, and I have nearly 5000 episodes on the TV section. That is however what I’ve ended up having to do :frowning:

Under the ellipsis.

You’re in a Movie section mate, where I’ve already said it was working for me. What I need, is that exact setting for TV series

Well damn. I need to write that up. I did NOT see that. Thanks for pointing it out!

What you can do (a small consequence); go into each season of each series, multi-select the episodes and analyze them.

I’ve written up to find out where/why we don’t have that capability from the very top. If omitted, requested to please add that functionality.

You can switch the library to episode view and then multi select episodes from the main view and select analyze from the … menu. However, there isn’t currently a way to do a whole TV Series or Season (with a single click) without manually selecting all those episodes.

Personally, when I found that I needed to run an analyze like this I simply ran it on the entire library (from the gear icon in the top right corner of the library). It will scan the files without needing to run through the metadata again. I have quite a few more episodes, but still find it easier for me to take a sledge hammer to the nail, so to speak in this case.

There seemed to be episodes blocking me from analyzing entire library, which was what I set out to do in the first place. 3 times in a row it stopped analyzing at the same episode in a TV show (starting with the letter B), so I tried removing the episode, and it then analyzed again, and it then ran all the way to shows beginning with the letter G, before once again stopping. I could not see any error in any of the logs
