I can enter the RSS feed, but there is no option to enter any authentication information for the feed. Is this on the roadmap, or am I doing something incorrectly and it’s supported right now? This would be for non-public feeds.
All feeds have the potential to be public. If enough people add the same feed manually it will be added to the library. ( sorry i do not know the exact number )
There is no method for doing that. Some have suggest you could add the u:P before URL depending the podcast auth method but because we do not have private feeds as such I would not do that.
if you want to make a feature request you can do that https://forums.plex.tv/c/general/feature-suggestions
I have a subscription to a paid podcast. They offer rss feeds, but within the url is an authorization token unique to my account, and they say not to share it with anyone.
If i add the url to the plex podcast, it’s the url stored locally or on a server? If it’s on a server is it encrypted or anything?
Don’t do that. It is not encrypted.
@BigWheel Thanks for the reply. Is supporting private feeds (encrypted and stored with my plex account, or on my server) in the works?
As far as I know it is being looked into but I don’t want to make any promises.
