Can't add private patreon podcast rss by url

i am usually able to add podcasts by url no problem and have even done this with a private patreon link once before. however, i signed up for a new one tonight and it was unable to work. i tried adding the podcast by url on the apple podcast app and it worked fine. i tried adding podcast by url on both mobile and desktop. when i do it on mobile it says to try again later and when i do it on desktop it says to check if i typed it in right (i checked)

i tried converting the feed to an ompl file and uploading this morning and was unsuccessful. i also tried adding another podcast rss link and was able to get it to work, so the problem seems to just be with this link and only with the plex apps as it works on Apple podcasts

This problem is not solved. Today all of my podcasts disappeared from my Plex. I tried adding podcasts that I previously had in my Plex by url that have no authentication like they would with a patreon link (for example https://jouissancevampires.libsyn.com/rss) and they have not worked. So the problem is not isolated to my patreon rss. I think there is something wrong with the pod player as all of my podcasts were gone when I woke up this morning and I did not take them off.

Having the same issue. All but 2 of my podcasts disappeared and cannot be re-added. I have a new patreon RSS feed link for one and it just says “Something went wrong. Make sure the URL is correct and try again.” The link is definitely correct, I can use it in other programs.

I have the same issue with a Patreon podcast URL. Adding &.rss to the end of the URL worked for me.

I gather that Plex is performing some half-baked validation on the URL which insists that it end in “.rss”. Adding &.rss satisfies that validation and is (luckily) ignored by Patreon, treated as a superfluous query parameter. This seems like a fairly straightforward thing for Plex to fix if it is on their radar.
