Podcasting syncing between clients

With podcasting being a client feature and not tied to PMS, is place in a podcast stored on plex servers somewhere so you can keep your place when switching between plex clients?

That’s one thing I’ve long appreciated with Pocketcasts.

yes. you can stop listening on one client and pick it up later on with another

Podcasts is a service, so information needed to run it (like your “My Podcasts” and listening history) is attached to your Plex account. It syncs across all your devices, so if you add shows to your “My Podcasts” on Plex Web and listen to them in browser, they will appear on mobile along with your listening history. You can continue where you left on as you move across devices.

I realize it’s just the first day so there is bound to be issues…but this feature didn’t work for me so far (only tried it once). I was listening to Macbreak Weekly on my iPhone. Later I went to keep listening to it in Plex Web…hit play, it asked me if I wanted to resume from (whatever time it was), I clicked that option…and the podcast started playing back from the start.

thanks @Agent_Cooper for report. I have been doing it all day testing various things. Can I ask which browser you have and if you have any extensions and such running that might affect things.

Yep…running Safari 11.1 with no extensions on an iMac with MacOS 10.13.4

And FYI…trying a different podcast, I listened to This American Life, episode 644 from 4/29 in my web browser. I listened for 25 minutes then closed it and went back to the Plex home screen. Went back into the podcast section, hit play on that episode, was asked if I wanted to resume from 25 minutes, clicked that option…podcast played back from start again.
