Most of the podcasts I listen to are news, I know I am not alone in this that several of the top twenty podcasts in the US are news podcasts. Plex becomes useless for listening to news podcasts if they won’t update when the podcasts are released. Currently, the news programs from Sunday that were released 20+ hours ago are still not available on Plex, including, State of the Union, This Week, Face The Nation, Meet The Press, Fox News Sunday, podcasts from this morning such as Axios AM and Way to Early where released 5+ hours ago and are still not available. I notified Plex at the end of August about this problem and have seen no progress. I have tried three different podcatchers besides Plex and none of them are having this issue which verifies it is a Plex issue. Sometimes these other podcatchers won’t notify me when there is a new episode but if I click on that podcast the new episode will be there.
i am also having issues with slow delivery. i get email notifications for when some of the podcasts i subscribe to are released, and they are never there on plex immediately. sometimes it takes almost a day for them to show up. i have started using apple podcasts again because the podcasts show up there when they are released.
I’m having the same issue. One particular podcast (updated daily) won’t show updates for days, then suddenly show 2 or more updates (the most recent episode showing 14 hours old, even though I had checked it 4 hours earlier)
Based on some other posts I’ve seen in the forum, I removed the podcast from Plex, and then added it back again with a direct url link. Now I can see the most recent podcasts, but I don’t know if it will last.
