I was migrating my plex from seedbox to dedicated hosted server.
Plex was installed ok, could see it remotely in all apps although i had not connected any of my libraries yet. i wanted to move over my db first.
I was following the guidance in this thread from ChuckPa
and after the start of the service at the end. everything has gone from all apps. i have tried deleting the preferences.xml and doing the 8888:32400 to see if i needed to take ownership but that just takes me back to the web app and i only see my seedbox server.
anyone come across this when migrating servers? kinds stumped
Worked it out, the common name was the same, so I renamed the common name of the old server, I removed the preferences.xml on the new server and then used localhost:8888:32400 to claim it over an ssh tunnel and now its all working sweet.
