Hello, a few days ago I bought a used computer in order to make me a plex server. The latter is a dell otiplex 990 with a 2nd generation I7 processor, integrated graphics card 2 GO, 8 GB of memory and I have installed an SSD disk. https://i.dell.com/sites/doccontent/shared-content/data-sheets/en/Documents/optiplex-990-spec-sheet.pdf
I already have another plex server on my Mac mini 2012. I did not expect to have such a bad result in terms of rendering the graphic quality with the dell optiplex 990. The mac and the dell are both connected to the internet by cable and yet the image quality of the dell server even in original quality gives the impression of being below 480p. I tested on my firestick the same file coming from the 2 servers. The settings I used for the transcoder are the same for the 2 servers. I wonder if the graphics card has a role to play in all this or if I have to return this computer … Thanks for your help!
Edit: I then tested directly with plex on the same TV then with my chromecast and the image is A1. I do not understand why with the firestick this is not the case …

Je possède déja un autre serveur plex sur mon Mac mini 2012. Je ne m’attendais pas à avoir un résultat aussi mauvais au niveau du rendu de la qualité graphique avec le dell optiplex 990. Le mac et le dell sont tout 2 branché sur internet par cable et pourtant la qualité d’image du serveur dell meme en qualité original donne l’impression d’etre en bas du 480p. J’ai testé sur mon firestick le même fichier venant des 2 serveur. Les réglages que j’ai utilisé pour le transcodeur sont les mêmes pour les 2 serveurs. Je me demande si la carte graphique a un role à jouer dans tout ca ou si je dois retourner cette ordinateur… Merci pour votre aide!
Edit: J’ai testé par la suite directement avec plex sur la même télé puis avec mon chromecast et l’image est A1. Je ne comprend pas pourquoi avec le firestick ce n’est pas le cas…
