Poor use of live TV Transcoding sessions

On my plex server if I start a live tv session it spikes the plex transcoder to a consistent %25 usage on an i7 processor. Seems heavy but the real disappointing thing is when I open a new webpage and start the exact same channel in that window it does not simply use the already existing transcoder session for Fox 8 it instead kicks off its on transcoding session using a new instance of 25% usage. so watching the same channel, on the same pc, in the same browser doubled the cpu usage to 50%. It would seem that when at all possible when multiple clients connect to the same channel they should share the single instance of the transcoder. Ultimately if this is going to be successful it seems plex may need to consider what HDhomerun, Channels, Instatv, EMby have all understood and that is create your own player and not rely on everything being transcoded by the server. That philosophy made since long ago but seems increasingly difficult to grow features.
