[Popular] Play Next Episode

with PlexHT once you are done watching it shows the EP overview of what you just watched.  hit the right arrow and it moves to the next episode then press enter and it starts playing.

Sorry mate I'm not using PHT, and not planing to. Standalone unit just for PHT is a bit overkill i think

You could use a Raspberry Pi and RasPlex.

Would make marathon binge watching easier...  B)

iknow, but there is still that part where i need a keyboard of some kind. Have tried to use IR remote but still ended up using the keyboard.

So continuous play on iPad, android, PlexConnect is what i'm hoping for :). I guess for that the function probably need to be added on the Plex Server

I've only recently discoverd the "right arrow" button to jump to the next episode.

Little bug there though. When you're "on deck" and start watching the next unwatched episode. After you've finished and hit the "right arrow key" PHT says in the right corner "please wait", but nothing happens and Plex is not responding to any commands. The app is still respsonding accoring to Activity Monitor.

I'm using PHT on Mac by the way.

awww yeah, +1

This is still missing on Android TV, much needed (configurable/optional) to allow binge-watching seasons.

In android it would be nice to just flick the screen for the next episode

I download a lot of YouTube videos, which tend to be short. It would be awesome if after one has finished playing it went on to the next one.

this seems like such a simple feature that is sooo essential for binge watching!

PLEX already does this, doesn’t it? I binge watch my shows on PLEX all the time using Chromecast.

You have to make sure you’re selecting the episode by going to the episode in your TV library. It doesn’t work if you select the episode from “On Deck.”

Agree this is a feature that makes life a lot easier. I have no idea though how this would be built into the plex server itself. For those using the plex kodi connect addon, you can use my kodi addon: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=228435 which does exactly this. Would be great though to see this built into other plex clients…although for me Kodi is the one I use most and combined with the next up addon means personally I am in no rush for this feature to be added…I would prefer Live TV or additional artwork being scraped by Plex

Closely related to this is the difference in how “unwatched” works in PMP vs PHT. Unwatched filter should dril down to seasons & episodes so you perfectly can find where you left off?

Would like this feature to be a “play next” button… not automatic play… (if you fall asleep you are f*cked

Or just don’t fall asleep in the middle of watching something… How could that happen accidentally unless you were already not paying attention or made a conscious decision to “get comfortable”. Isn’t falling asleep unintentionally narcolepsy?

Worst case you learn not to next time or just reset the watched flag. Either way this is valuable and ought to be in already… like 2+ years ago.

I have an NVIDIA shield and it looks like this feature now exists. I love it and thanks for developing it PLEX. The last improvement that a few people have touched on is the ‘Auto Play Next Episode.’ That would be a fantastic feature and if it is something you can select to use that would be even better. (EG, have a checkbox to select to automatically play next episode)

+1 would be great if the next/prev control would skip episodes in android tv. Play/ffwd/rwnd/stop all work.

I love the way FireTV does it for native playback.

+1 to the original request (and liked)
