+1, I think this would be great addition to plex especially for tv Series and in some cases movies with multiple parts like Godfather with splits in movie for intermissions.
I really like the play next feature, but I hate waiting for the episode to end to have the countdown start. Wonder if they could start countdown 10s before the video ends and wait the total of 15s. Something that there isn’t a 15s gap.
This is one feature I like having on my Samsung devices that I would love to see be a common feature coming to an AppleTV, Plex for the Web, Plex Media Player.

This would be a game-changer for me. My wife and I watch a lot of episodic content in Plex, and being able to seamlessly move from episode to episode would be huge.
Plex already does this.
Not on all devices - I’m still waiting for this to come to my Samsung 2016 tv

Really? Where are you guys hitting Play? Are you going to the episode’s detail page specifically and hitting Play? If you just play an episode, only the episode will play.
In order to get Plex to automatically play the next episode in a series, hit Play on the Show page or the Season page. Plex will start playing the show at the earliest unwatched episode, and when that episode finishes, the next one will play. I have done this on my iPhone, on Plex Web, and on my LGTV’s Plex app. I can’t imagine this functionality is just missing from PMP or any other Smart TV app.

Which would render OnDeck completely useless. That’s what I use 99% of the time and probably most others. That’s where it needs to work.
Sure, but I feel like that should be a new feature request, right? The behavior of playing from On Deck certainly should be adjusted. But this thread is from 2013, @elan replied to it, and Play Next Episode functionality was rolled out a while ago. Plex staff might consider this feature “done.”

Every other player I’ve used including Plex for Kodi auto-plays next OnDeck items if it’s a series. Definitely not a feature request. It’s a feature parity bug.
