I’d say this is a no brainer! Just installed Raspbmc on my Raspberry Pi, and what a great experence it is to install and run XBMC on the Pi. A first class Plex Client, as good looking and feature-ful as on Mac OS X, on Raspberry Pi would be amazing.

PleXBMC works fairly well on raspbmc right now but it's just a little slower than I'd like.
I might be wrong, but I would not expect that Plex client would change that fundamentally. Little box has it's limitations and will always be a bit slower.

Due to the interrupted development of RasPlex I would like to see a client for the Raspberry Pi under the wings of the PlexTeam itself.

I love my RPi’s, having a native plex client on it would be the icing on the cake.
I've been using RasPlex on my Pi for a while now. It's a bit slow but works perfectly fine with the most hot Plex feature.

The Pi is the perfect low cost Plex client. I currently have Raspbmc with PleXBMC but it's not as nice as PHT.

Raspbmc has increased in speed dramatically during its development and is really quite responsive in 'native' mode. PleXBMC works well but it noticeably slower.
Why not use rasplex? The next release looks similar to the PHT.
Can Raspberry Pi with Plex or rasplex hooked up to a TV act as a client/receiver for a Plex media server? With the full (new) PHT interface on the TV, controllable via a remote?
simple answer, yes, until the new version (0.40 i think is stable and released), if you want now the new Version just install the 9.9.18 unstable version. I still use it now for 2 Weeks and RasPlex for several month and i love it. My TV (LG) can CEC and so i can control rasplex with my TV remote, or if i want over the companion function of my ios Devices or Plex Web.

I tried it and it did not even see my PMS. All the reports I have read say it's pretty slow. I shall try the latest build.
It is slower then a desktop PHT and several other clients. But he can play all without transcoding and is a very cheap client. If it can not found your PMS try to login with your account or set the IP of your Server manual.
