i have a bunch of albums from an artist (legally :)) and when i use the Popular Tracks features it isn’t displaying what Last.FM (which from what i understand is how plex gathers what is popular) reports as popular.
you can see the order is messed up (and the #5 song is missing from one)… i have other artists similar that are also bad…

Is your Plex server running in the maintenance period?
What happens, when you Refresh an artist?
It has been doing this for quite a while and i just never posted about it
I disabled the popular tracks feature, let it scan, then re-enabled the feature. Then for some odd reason plex started detecting lots of new songs/information. But the screenshot above is after i did that…

Try this again after deleting the cache for the last.fm agent
https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/202967376-Clearing-Plugin-Channel-Agent-HTTP-Caches
i deleted the folder and i guess LastFM pulls really quick! i restarted Plex and still have the same problem\order…
ideas?
Last time I looked into this, Plex did not use “all time” for the popular tracks feature, but instead “last year”.
Secondly, lastfms api has not worked properly for a long while now. Some time back, the api had issues specifically returning the top tracks (it returned it incorrectly). I don’t know if this is still the case or not.
Thirdly, lastfms charts are cached, and Plex uses a cache as well. As such, it’s a bit hard to directly compare the charts like that. I have also noticed what you say, a long time ago, but considering all the above, combined with the fact that the top tracks still are pretty accurate, I have always just thought that " it is what it is". Just my two cents.
