Porting From Kubuntu to Manjaro

I just installed Manjaro 18.1.3 KDE on the backend of my os drive and would like to be able to just copy whichever Plex files from Kubuntu I need to get the server up and running in Manjaro after installing Plex there. The setup would be the same username, same name for the parent folder of the mount folders, same mount folder names, all in the same locations in Manjaro as they are In Kubuntu.

Thanks

This support article should get you there:

It describes what information needs to be migrated from the old system to the new one.

thanks much appreciated

thought i’d let you know i took the full plunge and backed up kubuntu and installed manjaro in it’s place. was no real need for porting my files over. in stalled both plex server & player, created my libraries without having to give special permission to plex or myself so plex would see my files. manjaro truly made it so easy to get plex up and running.

Good to know, thanks for following up.

was too funny actually. the plan was to backup the kubuntu partitions, reset the ssd, install manjaro, do my kde and os tweaks, and then backup the manjaro partitions, reset the ssd, and restore the kubuntu partitions. fighered i’s go back and fourth like this till i had manjaro just about where i had kubunt, but once i realized just how ridiculously easy software is to install in manjaro i just kept going and going and going. i would of made the energizer bunny jealous.
