Possibility to switch audio track gone...

Hi guys,

After going to the latest version (including pull request #8 & #9) it is not possible to switch the audio track anymore. In the previous version it was possible to hold the "center button" during movie playback and then get to the default chapter and audio track selection UI of the ATV.

Now there is just no reaction anymore? Does this have something to do with the switch to the new transcoder?

Cheers

Michael

It might well be, i do not think anyone even realised that functionality was there.

Audio selection is to be part of the pre-play screen that should be coming very soon.

Cool, that should do it :-)

thanks a lot, great project!

The audio selection presented when holding center during playback should only show you the audio tracks in natively supported ATV video files (Direct Play media like mv4).

Anyway, all transcoded media should not show you a audio selection dialog when holding center during playback. It would be pretty awesome if this would work someday, but I guess it's more a limitation of the transcoder.

BTW this audio track selection view also would show you all available chapters and your Airplay devices. The first only for supported media like mv4.

I just tested this after bubudaking's comments (i only had a one track native file).

- pressing the centre button did not do anything, but probably because there was only one track

- pressing up gave me the synopsis

- pressing down gave me the chapter marks

Yes, but when you press up and the synopsis comes up you should be able to hold down center and see the audio settings.

I guess you don't see this view because of:

- one audio stream file

- no airplay receiving devices nearby

- no chapter marks in the file

In my example (iTunes friendly encoded m4v) you see the following view when you press up while playing

And the following views appear when you hold the center button while seeing the upper view

Sorry for the german texts...the "Lautsprecher" Heading shows the nearby AirPlay devices.

I noticed that the whole "Audio" page was missing when playing media that has more than one audio stream but was transcoded.
