Possible Bug: Old users showing up

I had some users on Plex that I removed perhaps a month ago. Once deleted from both Home and Sharing users, the statistics were gone as well (as they should be).

Unfortunately, I had afterwards an issue with one of my Data HDD’s, that I had to replace. I did not replace the main system HDD where Plex is installed.

After replacing the Data HDD, the old users are now back under the statistics menu? Why is that?

The user stats were always part of your database just a previous version of web app did not show deleted users in filter dropdown

So how can I remove it? I don’t want to see all these people that are no longer part of my user-base?

You can change the view to last 7 days or another time frame, but for “all time” they will show up unless you go into the database manually to remove them. ( Which i understand not wanting to do)

That sucks. It makes no sense that the system does not remove deleted users completely. If I delete a movie, it will remove it completely.

True that it does not show removed movies but it does not remove the history that a movie was watched. If you re-add a movie later on ( even years later) it will still know that movie was watched (based on GUID) and it will not have the orange triangle in the corner of poster

Ok. This is very frustrating though. I would hope you would consider letting plex just delete all the data from deleted users. There is a reason why they are deleted.
