OK. This might not be the right forum and this might be a stupid question.
So I’m trying to use the Plex watchlist function (moving from Just Watch)
I want to add the movie, The House by the Cemetery (The House by the Cemetery (1981) — The Movie Database (TMDB)) to my watchlist. I don’t see it when I search for it using the English name, nor the Italian original name.
I don’t see the movie when I search for the director. When I search and find the director it only shows movies I have in my personal library.
Yet! it’s playing on Criterion Channel which is one of my checked streaming services.
I finally found it by looking up actor Catriona MacColl, looking up her filmography and then finding the movie by scrolling to 1981 and opening it. Plex does say it’s available to stream on Criterion Channel.
So a couple of questions:
a. How do I add movies on my streaming services (or on no streaming services) to my watchlist easily without having to jump through hoops?
b. How do you get to a director’s filmology?
c. How do you get to the actor’s filmology on the web version of Plex.
B . Search for them and click on them under “People” heading, if on a universal details page with the availabilities click on their name in the web/desktop app . (If it is a server details page it will filter movies on that person in that library.)
C: click on the cast image (items in TV /Movie libraries must be matched with new agents Plex Movie (not legacy) or Plex TV Series ) or in search under the “People” heading
