I’ve been searching this and I can’t seem to find anything.
Is there a way to add a universal custom transcoding bitrate option? 4 Mbps 720p isn’t quite enough, and 8 Mbps 1080p is a little too much. I would like to try and create a 6 Mbps 1080p option for all devices and see how it looks.
Thanks
Sorry. It is not possible to add a custom quality setting.
Damn. Is it likely for a 6 Mbps option to be added from the programmers?

You can always make a feature request.

You could always automate Handbrake and create your own. I know lots of people do that when they need custom conversions (or just don’t want to use the Plex solution).

RM,
I am confused please explain why you are doing this.
Have you tried “original”
I have never played with these settings.(and have had no need to)
Is the client local or remote?
What is your server and what are your clients.
What format is your media - bit rate /size etc?
it is strictly upload speed dependent. don’t want to have custom conversions.
not sure why they go 3 Mbps -> 4 -> 8 -> 10. big jump from 4 to 8 that I don’t think should be there.
