My family has been using my user account for general viewing purchase. I want to create a new account for them but without manually marking all the shows that has been watched in the past. I was hoping that I can copy a file / database over to the new account that has this information. Is this possible?
Unless you know the database schema and SQLite itself, it’s not possible.
Unfortunately, you need to manually mark them. However 
, You can enable multi-select at the top level (movies / series ) and hit the entire item with one click… When done selecting, you can mark all as watched at once.
Ouch… This is not going to be a fun task with all the content that I have. Thanks for answering
Actually, if you can copy your Plex database file over to a Windows computer, you can use https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/120292/moviefans-database-tool-for-plex/p1#top to copy the viewstats from your admin user to the newly created users.
This is a one-time operation and only uni-directional.
No continuous ‘syncing’ possible.
Once done, copy the modified database back onto your server.
