Possible to force Plex to ONLY use metadata in Music?

Hi, I’m new to Plex, and I’ve found it frustrating to see many of my albums and music files get re-named when added. I’ve gone to significant lengths to make sure my files have accurate metadata, and I have yet to find a way to tell Plex to ONLY use the metadata embedded in the files. So far, the best it can do is to “prefer” it (which it seems to largely ignore anyway). I keep initiating scans of the library and refreshing the metadata, but it never seems to help. I have followed Plex’s file structure and naming conventions.

Can anyone tell me if there is a definitive way to force Plex to only use the metadata in music files?

Use “Prefer local metadata” in your library setting.
