Hello. I just realised that PLEX “brutally” removed support for podcasts. I’m still flabbergasted by the fact that this was only announced via the mailing list. (I have not seen any banner in Plex’s interface … nothing…) I was using PLEX as one tool for my work (podcast-related), and I really need to access my previous database / media base that I was building in PLEX. I just hope my data was not deleted by the recent server update. Or maybe is there a tool / procedure to directly access the database? Again, I am flabbergasted by 1- this decision and 2- by how it was “deployed”. Very bad news for me… I just cannot believe this. Thanks in advance for your help.
Podcasts are an online media source – no server-bound feature. So downgrading will do you no good with this.
… was afraid so… just lost a whole lot of RSS feeds just because I was sick of using different podcast apps. I’ll try to have a look directly at my local local XML files in my flex folder, but I am not very good with this kind of stuff… Thanks for the reply.
There’s an instruction on how you can export your podcast subscriptions from Plex in a format many other pod catchers support
Great. Thank you. I’ll try this. The infos I previously found talked about right-cliking on titles manually… this looks much better.
It did work. Thanks very much! I missed a point in the article I had found before writing here. I thought that I needed to click directly on a podcast itself for this to work. But I could not see the items anymore on my server… (Not very familiar with OPML files). Have a nice day.
