I had a lot of podcasts that are now missing from my menu and I can’t even find the Podcast category listed anymore. What happened to them?
Sick and tired of this. Who keeps making these stupid decisions? The program has really reached a new low. The constant changes, the inability to leave things alone when they’re working fine as is, the CONSTANT new server downloads, the ridiculously STUPID features they keep adding which do nothing but complicate the program… who is in charge there??? Someone there clearly has a serious obsessive compulsive problem. I’ve been a Plex Pass subscriber for over ten years now and I’m sick to death of dealing with this program. I’m going over to Emby, this is complete b.s.

some might suggest that podcasts was one of those stupid features.
I switched from other podcast players to Plex to reduce players and still have resume play from anywhere functionality.
Plex, please stop destroying Plex. Bring back podcasts.

Plex, you don’t have to support it or maintain it, just bring it back as it was and leave it.

that’s non-sensical.
if they brought it back, which they won’t, then they WOULD have to support and maintain it. otherwise if something change elsewhere that broke it you’d be back on here complaining that it wasn’t working.
They got rid of it because they were spending too much time on it (lie), and needed to focus there effort on god knows what, maybe Discover or that sweet new logo. Wish Discover would discover a podcast.

they got rid of it as it would have been costing them more than what it brought in.
business, and plex is a business, don’t dump things that are making them money. they do dump things that are losing them money.

didn’t take long for the idiotic shill posts to start appearing.
there are many things that plex are doing or have done that i don’t like, but i do acknowledge that they are a business are in this to make money, and they will do what makes the most business sense to them (even if i don’t agree with it).
and that means that anyone here is also free to take their business elsewhere should they feel plex no longer offers what they want.
i still use plex as my primary local media playback solution (that’s all i use it for and what i always will only use it for), but due to the issues that plex have with local playback at the moment i have installed emby server and am currently testing emby as a local playback solution. if plex don’t get the basics working correctly again then i have no brand loyalty and will simply move to the solution that works for me.
