Server Version#: 1.20.1.3252-a78fef9a9
Player Version#: 1.17.0.1376-439f8b7f
Hello,
I updated the Media Server to the latest version last night, and now half of my podcasts, including every podcast I’d manually added, have disappeared. Trying to re-add the podcasts through both the Player and the iOS app has proven to be unsuccessful, with both URL and OPML attempts receiving an error that reads “Something went wrong. Make sure the URL is correct and try again.” It reads URL even when trying to use OPML.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this has happened and, more importantly, how I can get my podcasts back? Everything else on the server is still showing up and working. It’s just an issue with the podcasts.
same here. BUT I didnt update the software at all. Suddenly today most of my podcasts are gone. No good.
It doesnt has to with the client. Adroid client, browser client (ie. firefox) and native windows client, its all the same. It somehow looks like all manually added (not added via your podcast library) podcasts where removed. I guess/hope by accident.
After upgrading to the latest server version the problem remains.
I’m also now experiencing this same issue with the Politics Politics Politics podcasts. I have a private feed url that has disappeared and cannot be readded.
I have nothing helpful to add, but I am having the exact same problem. All but about five of my podcasts disappeared, some (even big-name ones like Flop House) are not showing up when I search them, and I can’t add via URL at all.
Same here. The problem appeared yesterday, so I upgraded to the latest version and the podcasts are still missing. I tried restarting the server on the Raspberry Pi, restarting the Pi itself, logging in and out, disabled and re enabled the podcast module but nothing worked.
Same here. All of my Slate Plus podcasts, and several (but not all) of my NPR podcasts, just disappeared. I think that the common factor in all is that I entered them manually.
It is a combination of podcasts that I had added manually because they were private URL from Patreon, for example, and others that I had found through searching your library. I have found some of the ones that I had from your library but not others, and so many of them are gone now that I can’t even tell you which ones they are. I was subscribed to a lot of podcasts.
I am starting to think the same. Never had any issues when I was using Google Podcast. Think Plex should put more resources to improve this part of there software.
All of my podcasts were added either by URL or OPML import. A ton of them are missing. The two that I listen to most are paid-subscription feeds with unique URLs, but I’m pretty sure there are other, “normal” podcasts that are also missing.
I’m hoping that someone just modified a SELECT statement in some DB and the information is still there, they just need to fix a query. I’ll be bummed out of it’s gone and I have to switch podcast players. Plex, I’m tryin’ to support you, but you aren’t making it the easiest!
I had about 60 podcasts, now i have 26. There is no particular single factor regarding which ones were lost. Of the 60, about 4 were subscribed via the plex collection. The other 56 were all added manually with the Apple iTunes podcast link.
Also, now it is impossible to manually add via an itunes podcast link. Plex gives error msg.
