While you’re doing that, I’m learning more about mergerfs.
I upgraded to mergerfs-2.42 and add some parameters. This fixed the issue. Plex is working as expected.
You need mmap

I spoke too soon. Playback is complaining about missing codec. This for Plex for LG on the downstairs TV. The Plex Windows app will play the same file with no issues.
What codecs need to be added? There a quite a few installed and permissions look correct.

I checked the downstairs TV (Plex for LG). It’s working now. It appears that Plex updated itself. The codec directories are showing today’s date and time..
