**Here are the steps I’m trying to achieve to move files to my WD PR4100 PRO. Please let me know if I have the directory right for the PR4100. You guys have the professional knowledge regarding Western Digital here. **
1. Enable ssh access on your My Cloud.
2. Download the 3rd-party channel zip file to your PC and unzip it into one of your My Cloud shares, for example, Public. The folder must have the extension .bundle.
3. Use PuTTY or similar terminal program to connect to your My Cloud via SSH and login as user sshd.
4. Confirm the location of the Plex plug-ins directory - on the My Cloud PR4100 it is “/mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/plex_conf/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins”.
Note: When I tried to confirm the location, I got a "PERMISSION DENIED"
5. Move the bundle from the Public share to the Plex plug-ins directory:
# mv /shares/Public/HDHRViewerV2.bundle "/mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/plex_conf/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins"
6. Change the ownership of the plug-in directory and its contents to root:
# chmod -R root:root "/mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/plex_conf/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins/HDHRViewerV2.bundle"
7. Access Plex and you should see the newly-added plug-in on the Channels page.
Is this the actual directory?
Western Digital
/mnt/HD/HD_a2/plex_conf/Plex Media Server/Plug-Ins
I just googled this one.
Isn’t there knowledgeable staffs in each category with the professional knowledge about each category that can give some supports? By helping me, someone else can benefit from the answer as well. It’s not private message. I’m trying to find some well needed answers about NAS and Western Digital and I’m in the right forum. The post seat there all day without anyone from Plex trying to help. These are very legit questions. What what do I need to be? This place feels like an empty place. It’s mostly good Samaritans trying to help and sometimes many are rude as well because the internet is open for all.

No, this is not the correct directory! It’s /mnt/HD/HD_a2**/Nas_Prog/**
“Permission denied”? What credientials have you used within Putty? You have to use user “root” with the corresponding SSH-password you have set within the Web UI. Using the admin-user login from the Web UI results in “permisson denied” as the Web UI user is not root.
Thanks Joerg,
But when I tried what’s in my original post, I get:
“/mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/plex_conf/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins”
Note: When I tried to confirm the location, I got a “PERMISSION DENIED”
I think Plex leave it to staffs from each of the respective nas companies such as WD, QNAP,… to to provide support here.
On the WD forum, you get quick and constant reply as if you’re being on a live chat. In here, it’s all about Plex. When we’re being ignored, it’s Plex name that being talked about as the worst forum staffers. But no one can touch this guy from the Plex Windows app forum. I forgot his exact name. Very good Plex staff =D>

Means you are not using the correct credentials to get full acess privileges. You have to use root as username with the SSH-password you have chosen during SSH- and Putty-Login.
Ok, I’ll give it another go and report back. Thanks

Didnt work had to remove the # from the copy 5. Move the bundle from the Public share to the Plex plug-ins directory:
