I am unsure if this is a new issue or has been happening for a while. Today I got a text in a group I share plex with and they said a movie they where trying to play kept playing the start over and over. So it would play the pre-roll then it would try to play a second or two of the movie then pre-roll again then it would just do the loop once more or just stops and buffers(not actually buffering as its not requesting from the server). Never playing the actual movie. If they would try to play it again it would go into the same loop.
When they brought this up others where saying they had this issue as well only when playing original quality. As soon as I turned off the pre-roll the issue stopped of course. So it seems like some devices have issues with that quick switch of formats.
No errors or anything in my logs, Just seems like user is requesting and sends it like normal. seems to be a pure client thing. One users device is a visio another is some amazon firestick or the box. Tonights device was the amazon firestick/box
Is there anything I could do to fix this? as in change the format of my pre-roll or am I just sol and should keep it off if I want to continue sharing.
