It seems after updating to PMS v1 a bunch of things stopped working, such as trailers, pre rolls, watched/unwatched not automatically updating. So that’s when I found OpenPHT. Seems pretty good, it fixed the watched/unwatched issue. However, I still have no trailers or pre roll playing. Everything is set properly on both client and server side. Anyone know how to fix this? I’m also updated to the latest OpenPHT and PMS.
Oh and just another note, it seems like when i exit a movie the gui sounds stop working, i have them set to always btw.
Please enable debug logging in preferences and share a log where you try starting a movie that should have trailers or pre roll playing.
A server log file or is there a separate one for OpenPHT?
Also, I was wrong, the watched/unwatched not automatically changing after watching something is still not working. Not even to show partially watched.
@Damienlee69 The OpenPHT log files is of interest, the watched status fix was included in the 1.6.2 version of OpenPHT.
You can find your OpenPHT log at:
Windows: %APPDATA%\OpenPHT\OpenPHT.log
OS X: ~/Library/Logs/
Linux: ~/.plexht/temp/plexhometheater.log
Nevermind, I found the Open PHT Log. Here it is. I only copied the part where i started to play a movie.

Apparently I’m only running 1.5.2
Which is weird, cuz it just updated. Trying Pre-release update now.
We haven’t moved the 1.6.2 release to the stable update channel yet, once you run 1.6.2 watched status and trailers or pre roll should start working again. We have already moved the RasPlex/Embedded releases to the stable update channel and the Windows/OS X version will possibly follow in a few days.
Yep, that’s all it took, switching to Pre-release and updating fixed everything. Thank for the help and quick responses!! P.S. Love what you’re doing, every update there’s new features! Keep up the good work!
Running 1.6.2 built from source, on Ubuntu 14.04, having the same experience, no trailers, no preroll.
Have you tried installing the prebuilt 14.04 .deb package - https://github.com/RasPlex/OpenPHT/releases?

Oops my bad, I was still on 1.6.1, wrong assumption. I’m still building from source as the prebuilt .deb packages seem to break something in my setup (can’t find XMBC home directory or such)
