thank you for another great version. I’ve noticed you’ve updated also skinning engine because ‘texture color diffuse’ property started working !!! Thanks.
One bug I’ve noticed in 1.6 releases though is that when I have checked option “Show Watched in recently added” it works for all section types/lists except for “Watch Later” list (on home menu of course. Is it possible to fix that ?
OpenVPN works same as Rasplex, no 12bit support at the moment, I’m having difficulty finding decent HEVC test clips of any description. At the moment for 40Mbps HEVC, needs a lot of caching, trying to find optimum settings at the moment.
So… this may be a dumb question (2 actually), but what’s the difference between PHT and OpenPHT? And how come I have to download it manually from a web page?
PHT was abandoned by Plex Inc last October, the Rasplex team have continued developing and fixing PHT as an OpenSource project called OpenPHT, as it is an ‘unofficial’ Plex client the downloads, source code, etc is hosted on GitHub.

Great release, but for one issue I’ve found. This continues a long standing bug from the PHT days, of the autoupdate changing the security on the ‘\program files (x86)\OpenPHT’ directory.
Using the autoupdate from a standard user, give the UAC prompt, then after credentials are entered, installs. Although it appears the installer does a move or something of the entire OpenPHT directory because after install there are no inherrited permissions on that directory and the standard user can no longer access / execute the program. The security on it seems to be the installing user and administrators.
If I go in and allow inherrited permissions again all is well.
Can you change the installer to do a copy which would allow inherrited permissions, or reset them after the install.

After starting plex i am getting background error as below and sometimes i also got skipped frames:
libGL error: pci id for fd 21: 8086:1916, driver (null)
i965_dri.so does not support the 0x1916 PCI ID.
libGL error: failed to create dri screen
libGL error: failed to load driver: i965
OMG I have been struggling trying to compile Plex-Media-Player on trusty for a couple days with ZERO result.
I’ve been running PHT for a long time no issues until the dreaded v1.0 server release… What a mess…
After mucking about for days trying to get pmp to compile, realized it looks like libraries required are for FEDORA!, I decided to look at “third-party” clients.
WHY OH WHY DIDN’T I DO THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE!! lol
Just ONE simple deb file download and install…
Not only did it work, but it updated my skin plugin and used my preferences and everything from my old and busted PHT!
Wish I could go back in time and recover all the wasted time on pmp!
Ok I had to come back because this deserves some more love. lol
I remember back in the old forums I posted an issue about volume.
My old PHT in linux would play tv shows at a lower volume than my system, and movies were worse.
I’d have to have my system at 100% volume, and plex at -20 for tv and -5 to 0 for some movies, just to hear anything.
I knew it was linux PHT because winblows PHT would play fine at 30%.
Today I found the with OpenPHT I could leave my system at 40% and volume is perfect!
Movies are also playing at about the same volume as tv shows!
Open Source wins again!!
