For video with multiple audio tracks is there a setting to automatically select the multi channel audio by default instead of the stereo audio track?
The roku apps and Plex Media player do automatically select the multi-channel audio track when the device is connected to equipment capable of playing that format, and use the stereo track if not. Some configuring in the app is required.
Hard to believe it can’t be incorporated into other apps.
an underlying problem is that the Plex server remembers a manual selection forever, so if at any time you selected a stereo or surround track with any device, all other apps will use that setting.
