What is more likely to be there? A Plex update or a new Xbox? A really tight race :P
Sorry but that's bullshiit... The website isn't a Microsoft problem and it doesn't take 6 month to change a little html string to TELL EVERYBODY THAT THIS APP IS A COMPLETE BETA AND THAT THEY SHOULDN'T BUY A PREMIUM PASS FOR IT YET. Damnit, read at least my first posts. Plex isn't telling it's a incomplete, bugged beta app, but already advertise it as an xbox one app to be downloaded only with a plex pass. So that is called tricking people to buy their lol pass
This post you made was an answer to a post I made to someone else. The answer to the issue about the info not being good enough that the XB1 and PS app being a preview app I tried to answer a few posts back. To answer it a bit better this time: The team is aware of it, and the subpages will be branded better. I do not know for sure why it has taken so long to change the wording. Might be due to someone having too much to do and forgetting it, or putting it off for awhile. Or possibly they made the decision to make bigger changes to the subpages, and focusing on that decided to not do any quickfixes... not realizing that the changes was going to be that big... taking that long.
Don't know. But I am fairly sure there are many possible things that could have happened that did not have anything to do with them being an evil money-hungry company that is out to get a specific group of users.
With that said; I have reminded the team that the issue has still not been resolved and that you guys are not happy about it. So even if the devs are not in here, they are aware of that you guys find this unacceptable.
Thanks Atrus. A friendly reminder doesn’t hurt.
i brought plex pass and i just cancelled is not worth my cash, lol 4 months wihtout any update on xbox app and the ios app update its a joke 2 but the android app get alot love updates and is free, probably they dont even care that i canceled, my 2 cents
The Android app is not free.
You can download it for free but have to buy it "in-app" or login via Plex Pass to properly use it.
ok so 2 me thas free compare to ios app

My emphasis shown because the iOS is not free in any shape, way or form. So for any of us who complain about paying for the app, and not having as many updates and/or bug fixes, in comparision to Anroid, is not only justified but necessary. The way the iOS app is now, it's basically a functioning beta; whereas the Android is a full-fledged, working app.
So again:
Free app = devotion by Plex
$$$ app = neglect by Plex

ok well, i can tell you i use the ios app everyday and i also use the android app every day. The ios app has very little issues compared to any other device. yes it still needs some features but, it works. the only reason its costs is because apple does not allow 2 versions of an app. Android has had a lot of issues and a year ago people were complaining about how ios was so great and android had so many issues, So its a lose lose for them...

Well you are one of the lucky ones, as far as the iOS working for you without issues. If you take the time to check the section you'll see there are plenty more people who have serious issues across the board with the iOS version; e.g. iPhones, iPads, etc. And just because it "works" doesn't mean it should be neglected as much as it has been, especially when people paid for it. As for your agurment for why it is a paid version, and blah blah it's Apple's fault, blah blah blah, is really an exhausted excuse to justify the means, a means to Plex's own end.

That is because people do not come to forums and say "Everything is working great!". No forum on the internet has that happening so complaints ALWAYS show up in a disproportionate ratio to positive remarks.
I also have no issues with iOS, I guess I am one of the lucky ones .....
iOS works fine for me, ridiculous that it is still missing so many now aging features, but it does work...
This is the Xbox forum though, and that is a different story. That is both missing ancient features, aging features and has some show stopping bugs, but has not had a single update for over a third of a year, and has only had one update in its entire existence.
It is bewildering behaviour for a company that takes money from people for its products.
No idea how anyone at Plex thinks that, combined with the nonsensical near total non-communication policy is the way to go.

Yes, people do come to the forums and do this—you are doing it now, and others do it in the same posts where people complain. And what is the point of your message anyways? Is it to point out that people are not allowed or should not complain? Not sure why you felt the need to emphasize that people always show up in disproportionate numbers; heaven forbid people seek help and dont get help then complain. Sorry that's such a burden for you. But then again, the fact that you have that quote about complaining in your signature speaks volumes. You should probably change the whole part about it being free though, so it's more accurate.

Never mind.

No complain all you want but, we got to ios which has nothing to do with this. And it has gone from a complaint to a bury in the ground. Trust me I have complaints about Xbox app but, damn. After 5 pages. If I was a dev I would get irritated. They saw the complaints on the first page. Let's just stop now :)
5 months of disappointment. Can't even look at family photos on the big screen yet.
Plex Team, your lack of communication has to be hurting you! Rethink your brand and way of doing business. I invested my money in the lifetime, so I should have some "stock" in this too....
Get us something! FAST.

you really should chill out for a $5 app. my lord, you're about to blow a gasket for 5 bucks. Life's not that bad dude.
My ios app works fine (including pictures). I use it daily.

I agree that my posts, along with others, got a bit off topic; I'd argue it's relatively on topic because both platforms are neglected, but I digress. I think it's ironic that people complain, about others complaining, and rub people's faces in the fact that their setup works and they have no issues—pretty pointless to bring that up. And then there are those that defend Plex's laxed attitude and approach to these problems, perpetuating the issues and creating more arguments. It's a dead horse, you're right, and I'll stop as long as other stop defending the poor practices of Plex.

I should chill? Okay....If it's just $5 then send me that money via Paypal, otherwise keep your opinions to yourself.
And where did you get that life is bad, I never suggested it was nor were my post unreasonable in regards to the matter at hand; maybe work on your reading comprehension? Oh wait, you are one of those people who feel the need to tell others what to post about, disregarding their opinions and problems in favor of your own, right? I guess you want to take things to the extreme because you feel entitled to do so; you are also one of those who doesn't have problems, which again is pointless to mention in light of those who do.

ha, keep my opinions to myself? you mean you like you do of course. You've spewed non stop venom at a company over a $5 app and I need to keep my opinions to myself. That's pretty funny/ironic.
I've had plex since 2011. You think I've never run into issues? Everyone's been frustrated about one thing or another. It's common place in technology, especially something as complex as plex (com/plex ha?). But most of us dont take life's injustices out in the plex forums. I mean this really can't all be about 5 bucks, seriously.
So yes, I agree. I'll take you up on your offer. I'll send you 5 bucks via paypal and in return, you never post to the plex forums again. That means starting now. No reply to this thread, or any other on here- ever again. Just pm me with your paypal and I'll give you your precious 5 bucks in return for a little less misguided anger in this corner of the world.
And seriously, try to relax. Read your posts the last few weeks and ask yourself if those sound reasonable to you.

I am not going out of my way hi-jacking threads to complain about others, like what you're doing. I've made valid points, which have clearly gone over your head, and in return people defend Plex. You want to call it venom, fine, mislabeling is clearly your thing; as is not being able to read. And if you really think this is about $5, then you are in no way able to understand the simplest things; most of the posts have been about the unreasonable approach Plex takes when it comes to different platforms, and the iOS was an example of this. Again, why do you need things spelled out for you? The bigger issues people have are not just the independent platforms, it's Plex's business model and approach to paying customers. Also, check out the definition of ironic before you ignorantly misuse it.

Gee, thanks for the obvious assessment. Again, this IS NOT about $5—please do yourself a favor and read all the posts in this thread. Seriously, just read them. It's not about the injustices, it's about the pattern of neglect that many customers are facing and the little that Plex's employees are doing to remedy it. And people like you are NOT helping. We have the right to complain, post about issues and/or problems. You don't need to come into threads just because you feel entitled to complain about it, then hypocritically point the finger because you can't read.

And now you show your true colors. You don't want people to complain, voice their issues and opinions because you don't agree with them. You targeted me because I am not going to accept people like you, who don't have issues, coming into a thread to complain about those of us who have issues. You cry about me being venomous only because your lack of comprehension, and your petty remarks only confirm your agenda. If Plex works for you, great. Why don't you go create a thread about it, thank the developers, and all that Jazz. As for this so-called misplaced anger, you should take that along with your trolling and stop replying to this thread; you are obviously reading between lines because the ones right in front of your face are too difficult to understand.

listen, I dont know if you're off your meds or what. Two years you say nothing, then two weeks non-stop verbal attacks/self-entitlement rhetoric that contradict each other.
You reference you're a paying customer continuously, then ask if I'll pay your 5 bucks- to which I agree.
You go quiet for 15 minutes, delete some of your most obnoxious posts, (it's not hard to bring them back fyi)-here's one of many gems:
"SURPRISE THERE'S AN UPDATE FOR THE ANDROID APP AND NOTHING FOR IOS!"
Then you reply going off on some tangent that's borderlined psychitzo and repeating yourself (TL/DR), but you mentioned something about your being reasonable.
In all seriousness, whatever you're going through, I hope you get it worked out.
I'm going to bow out of this now, and for the safety of those around you, will not see/respond to any more of your posts.
Hope things get better soon. Remember, it's just an app.
