This is the “old world”. Which means that none of the bugfixes which have been developed in the last ~3 years is available to you.
Are you using any 3rd-party agents? (e.g. .nfo importer, Sub-Zero etc.)
If not, I recommend you to switch to the new agent.
Nope. No 3rd party agents. Just vanilla Plex.
Will change agent and refresh library.
Be advised that refreshing metadata is still ongoing even after Plex doesn’t show any activity in the user interface.
You might wanna keep an eye on
Settings - Server - Alerts
and wait until there are no more updates
before assessing the outcome of this operation.
Changing agent from “Plex Movie (Legacy” to “Plex Movie” and refreshing the library worked.
Even without renaming folders.
So with the extras folders being named “Others” it correctly scans and picks them up as extras for the relevant movie categorized as “Other”.
This is behavior that I would expect and the best case scenario for unstructured extras.
