I have many friends who have families and would like to create sub-accounts for their children so that they cannot watch all the horror and action movies rated 18+.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work. Although I allow multiple streams per user, my friends’ sub-accounts cannot see my data.
Why is this not implemented? All other streaming services allow you to create sub-accounts for children. It can’t be that I have to use up slots and waste 3-4 slots per family when it would also be possible with more streams and sub-accounts.
Because a friend can also play 3-4 streams at the same time, but can’t use sub-accounts for this? That’s somehow completely wrong and not a good sign for Plex’s protection of minors.
The problem has existed for years, but somehow nothing is being done about it, and no one has ever made an official statement about it in the relevant forum threads. I think it’s an important issue and would therefore like an explanation as to why something like this isn’t being implemented. It would be nice to receive a response or solution from Plex.
