I couldn't find any substantial discussion on this, but it's probably my biggest desired feature request for Plex. I use a relatively low-powered cpu media server, which works fine for pretty much all functions that it performs, aside from transcoding.
Are there any plans to add gpu acceleration? Is it too complicated?
