Please can you look at utilising the GPU of the server hosting content for transcoding video content and relieving some of the pressure from the CPU. It’s much more possible for people to add extra graphics cards and SLI them (or even upgrade their GPU altogether) than it is to change the CPU at times (where the MB and RAM may also be required to change to support the new CPU).
Hey @Xandersmith, GPU acceleration has been in beta for Plex Pass many months now since server version 1.9.3.

That article still isn’t always clear as to when/how/what is used though, and you’ll find questions throughout the forum regarding priority, how it handles once the GPU streams are fully utilized, etc.
