It’s the first time I have problems with plex… I like it and I choose a bose speaker 500 with chromecast builtin for streaming plex-music.
I received the speaker today and I tried it out. It doesn’t work. I can start casting, the music starts on the speaker using chromecast, but after 10 seconds, the music stutters, starting and starting again. It doesn’t work. I tryed with different android devices and made several factory resets of the speaker, tryed changing wlan connection…
After three hours trying, I decided to write this post.
Did anybody have the same problem or an idea who to solve the problem?

Same problem here on all my Bose Speakers
Chromecast works if I use a different player from the same source and network setup. Seems to be a Plex problem ongoing for a few months.
Hello. Yes, I tried Hifi Cast and activated dlna on the plexserver: it works fine. The only problem, all is now open in my network, because dlna ist activated.
I saw in the Bose support page, that Bose doesn’t support video chromecast. I suppose that plex cast music with a video-stream (showing the track and all). That should be deactivated for working with Bose…

I’ve just tested symfonium (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.symfonik.music.player&hl=de&gl=US). It works very well and uses PLEX directly, without activating dlna.
