hello all, i’m looking to build a new HTPC that will become my PMS(i’m new in the plex world).
before i build it i’m trying to set my laptop as a PMS and connect it to my SAMSUNG smart tv (5 years old, without wifi), but i’m having a lot of problem. my main problem is that my tv has not wifi and i can’t connect it to the router
permanently, so i have to connect my PMS directly to the tv and i would like to be able to use plex without internet. i already have the plex app on my tv, but i cannot connect the tv and the pms without internet, infact the tv can’t find the server. i’m trying to connect the tv (using the native tv app of plex) through ethernet using the manual connection but the tv say:“Server not found” or something like that.
what i have to do? should i put some static ip or something like that? help me please…I’M NEW IN PLEXXX.

Also, there is a support forum dedicated to Samsung Smart TV. I’m assuming you are using Orca’s app.
