Problem with restarting playback after pause

For about the past month (when Plex changed the way FF/Rewind worked), the play button following a pause while watching a video no longer works. I need to exit back to the menu to restart the video. I can’t seem to find anyone else recently posting about this. Big pain.

It’s not my remote (it happens on the ATV remote as well as my Harmony remote) and it only happens in Plex.

Anyone have any ideas? I’ve rebooted the server, ATV, etc. with no avail and the problem is persistent across multiple TV’s/ATV’s in my house.

I don’t know if its the same, but sometimes when I pause to take a phone call or something and its paused for an extended period of time, when I return its totally locked up. The only way to recover is to force quit the app. This does not happen all the time but enough that it is annoying.
