Hi,
Some movies are in my library (I see them and I can watch them) but I can’t find them with the search function.
I have this problem only on my pc (Windows), the same movies appear on iphone/ipad with the search option.
It’s really annoying to have to search by alphabetical among 1500 movies ^^
Do you have an idea ?

Browser. Same thing with Chrome or Firefox.
When you search is there a “button” “Show more results…”?or try to exit and re-enter or clear cache 
Yes there is a “Show more results” button but it doesn’t show more.
For exemple if I search Batman I only get this one (which is in Animation library) :
But I have a lot of Batman in the Films library :
I tried to clear cache, Exit/Re-enter but still the same 
I have exactly the same problem! In the web player, the search has not been reliable for months. Only the iOS app finds all the movies. The problem occurs on two independent Plex servers. Me and other users also have been reporting this problem for a long time, but no one seems to care
Addendum: Obviously the problem only occurs with large libraries.
Same problem. I have a large library and increasingly the search does not return any results even though the media shows up if I browse the library (see also image below). Really hope for a fast solution.
Do Plex’s developers read the forum time to time?
There’s is a current limitation with the search feature. If it finds results in more than one library, only the results from the first library are shown.

I don’t seem to have this issue, but I am running the latest Plex-Pass release… is it possible that it was addressed in the latest Pass release? I definitely get results from multiple libraries when I search.
Not sure if this comment adds anything to the discussion, but I figured I’d add to it anyway…
My apologies. A fix was included in PMS 1.2.1 and later, which is currently only available to Plex Pass members.

When I search “Captain” I only get the 3 Captain America in the result, but not Captain Fantastic and they are all in the Movies library.
And if I search “American” I get a lot of movies from the movies library AND American Dad! from the Shows library.
I believe there is also a limit of 3 items per category. Click on the more results, which has an expanded list of results.

Yes that’s what I always do.

So why “American” gives me results in Movies and Shows libraries ?
I just took the Plex Pass and the last update fix the issue.
Hope it will be fixed for everybody soon.
