I had to rebuild my computer due to flaky hard drives.
I was able to move my library disk intact to the new system.
- I’ve tried to follow the steps listed here. -
- I’ve installed PlexMediaServer-1.32.6.7468-07e0d4a7e-x86_64
- I signed in when asked
- I signed out and exited PMS by right-clicking the system tray icon and picking exit
- I copied data from “%LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server” (C:\users\OLDUSERNAME\appdata\local\Plex Media Server") on the old boot drive to “%LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server” (C:\users\NEWUSERNAME\appdata\local\Plex Media Server") on the new computer.
- I was unable to access the registry from the old build
- I rebooted the computer
- I wait for PMS to show in the system tray
- I right-click and choose to Open Plex
- It asks me to sign in, I do
- It says “Initializing Plex Media Server…”
- Eventually this changes to “Something went wrong. Make sure the server is available and try again.”
- If I try to Open the Plex Web App, it opens as me but doesn’t think I have media.
- When I click the + next to Your Media, it acts like it doesn’t see my media server.
HOW DO I REGAIN ACCESS TO MY PLEX MEDIA LIBRARY?
Thanks for any / all help!
