Problems with Live TV

Hi, I’m from Italy and have some problem with Plex Live TV.

1 - In the media server when I configure Live TV & DVR I’m obliged to associate each channel with a guide otherwise I can not see that channel. This is a BIG problem because guides are not available for many of main Italian channels (Realtime, Sky Tg24, Cine Sony, Deejay Tv and others) and I can not see those channels.
I pay for the service and I would like to have the guides of all the channels or at least to be able to see equally those channels even if they are not associated with a guide.

2 - In settings of Live TV & DVR (Media Server) I’d like to be able to choose the order of the channels. Is this expected in the next updates? I think it would be very useful, when I see program in Watch Now, to have a pre-order set according to user preferences.

3 - Why on my Nvidia Shield I can’t record on the fly when watching Live TV? This is possible from my PC with Plex Web Chrome player but not from Nvidia Shield Plex Player. Please can you solve this?

  1. The problem here is that if there is no data for that channel, then based on how EPG is presented to the user, there would be no way to get to that channel
  2. Again based on how the EPG is presented channel ordering would not be meaningful (when you are in Watch Now, you can order by program type, not channel and you can’t even see the channel name or number). Plex has promised to provide grid-style EPG so maybe when that comes out.
  3. This is one of the stated limitations: “You cannot initiate a recording of what you’re currently watching in the client. If you wish to start recording, you’ll need to stop live playback and then start recording.” (from here: https://support.plex.tv/articles/115007689648-watching-live-tv/). I am sure they will fix that!
